Co Author of "Odessa, City of Dreams" with Velma Barrett.
Mrs. E. D. Oliver is a housewife and mother whose hobbies are people and books. She keeps very busy giving book reviews and lectures to groups in Odessa and nearby towns.
Next to her home, her greatest interest is her church, where she teaches the Bible both in Sunday School and in the W. M. U. A native Texan and daughter of a pioneer preacher, she enjoys stories of the early days.
Because of the active interest she has taken in her community, she was selected "First Lady of Odessa" for 1950. She attended the University of Oklahoma and College of Mines at El Paso.
She will be long remembered for the "Odessa, City of Dreams" book of the pioneers, published in 1952 by the Naylor Company.
